Following the Lunch and Author Meets Reader session, we will walk from the Law School (approximately 20 minutes) to the Musqueam residential and commercial development known as lelÉ™mÌ“ for a tour and discussion of the project, some of which has been completed and is occupied, with other phases in the planning and development stages. From lelÉ™mÌ“ will we take taxis to the Squamish Nation Reserve No. 6 Kitsilano, an ancient village site and location for the future SenÌ“áḵw development on the shores of False Creek, for a walking tour and discussion of how the land came to be Reserve and what it means for there to be Reserve land in the middle of the City of Vancouver. Following this, we will walk to Granville Island (about 20 minutes) for dinner. The field excursion is free.
